As to the Ukraine, I recently saw the videos from Odessa, and I must say I am extremely shocked and pissed off that the US is supporting these Nazi thugs. Virtually none of the people burned alive, nor the PREGNANT woman strangled to death by US/IMF supported killers deserved to be murdered. They were Ukrainians, just as much as the murderous thugs who killed them. This is a genocidal conflict based on ethnic divisions, and our Government is spending untold millions of dollars to inflame the situation. The IMF has promised the Ukrainians several billion dollars( 18 Billion in fact) in aid if they manage to topple the "regime".
Basically this amounts to the world banksters paying people to murder one another. Meanwhile, "Academic" (formerly Blackwater) mercenaries continue to pour into the region, setting the stage for a conflict with Russia. Once again our American youth will be thrown into the breech so politicians can continue their careers and pose as "defenders of democracy". The entire thing makes me sick. We MUST oppose US support of the Right Sector, and voice our opposition to sending our troops there.
This type of civil war must be resolved internally, the United States has no business other than to voice our disgust and outrage, we have no business interfering in the affairs of other nations. I am of the belief that we should "trade with all, and war with none."
And if we are to express disagreement with a nation, we should cut off our trade with them. In this case, we should immediately stop all aid to the "rebels", and focus our efforts on supporting the civilian population. That is, if we send troops to the Ukraine, they must be engaged in escorting people out of the region and only participate in hostilities if it becomes necessary to protect them. We should only "take sides" on a moral basis, and not militarily. This debacle is an extension of the decades long program to create a NATO hegemony in Eastern Europe.
I would like to remind the reader that during WW2 it was the Soviet Union that actually won the war in Europe and stopped the Nazis, and that the United States has a record of jumping in at the last moment when all sides have been worn down and claiming victory for itself. (Even though we liberated the camps, it is striking to note that the Allies never did bomb the railroads that led to the camps, nor was there any dedicated effort to "liberate" or attack the camps even though the Red Cross had been reporting their existence since 1940).
The CIA is running amok in the Ukraine, and the US has been chomping at the bit for years trying to figure out a way to draw more countries into the EU so that we can exploit our European alliances and generate more profits for the international corporate cartels. (particularly the arms dealers). What better way to carve out new territories for global corporations than to promote/provoke "independence" and "democracy" in troubled regions like Eastern Europe and Africa?
On the home front, we must continue to build a strong voice to speak out against the travesties of the VA and the drone programs.
We must not waver in our support of Chelsea Manning and continue to advocate for her release, as well as amnesty for Edward Snowden. We must continue to build new coalitions to support Homeless People and continue to resist further repression of our natural rights.
